Web design in Cherry Hill & South Jersey.

MakeAndUpdate builds fast, custom websites for small businesses in Cherry Hill and across South Jersey — Camden County and the New Jersey side of the Philadelphia metro. Based in West Chester, PA, about an hour away with Philadelphia in between, Nicholas Cabel hand-codes sites that load in about a second and bring in calls. You work directly with the builder, start to finish.

Built for Cherry Hill and South Jersey

Cherry Hill is a township in Camden County, and its commercial life runs along two roads: Route 70 and Route 38. Those corridors, and the older main streets in the boroughs around them, are lined with the kind of business I build for — the restaurant with a strip-mall storefront, the salon off a side street, the contractor working out of a truck and a yard.

The same build covers the towns next door: Haddonfield, Collingswood, Haddon Township, and Voorhees in Camden County, and just over the Burlington County line in Moorestown, Marlton, and Mount Laurel. I work from West Chester, PA, about an hour away, and cover Philadelphia on the other side of the river as well.

You are competing with Philadelphia, not just the next town

Cherry Hill sits across the Delaware River from Philadelphia, a short run from the Ben Franklin Bridge and the Betsy Ross Bridge, with the PATCO Speedline stopping at Woodcrest and running straight into Center City. That is convenient for your customers and inconvenient for you: the same person deciding where to eat, shop, or book an appointment can be in Philadelphia in about twenty minutes when the bridge is clear.

So a South Jersey business is not only competing with the shop further down Route 70. It is competing for attention with everything on the other side of the river. A site that loads instantly and answers the basic questions — are you open, where exactly are you, what does this cost — before anyone scrolls is how you keep that search on this side of the bridge. Speed is not a vanity metric here; it is the difference between a tap and a back button.

Hiring one builder instead of an agency

There is no shortage of marketing agencies on both sides of the river. Here is what is different about working with me:

  • ·Who builds it — Nicholas Cabel, one person, from the first sketch to launch day. No account manager relaying messages, no junior handed the file.
  • ·Speed — hand-coded and tuned to load in about a second, not a purchased theme carrying code your site will never use.
  • ·Price — scoped and priced to you, with a fixed quote before any work begins.
  • ·Ownership — the code, the domain, and the hosting are yours outright. Nothing is held hostage on a platform you cannot leave.

Recent builds include Kabab Cafe, a Persian restaurant and market, Maxima Hair, a salon, and CNI Western Hardscaping & Landscaping. All on the Pennsylvania side — and all the same job a Cherry Hill restaurant, salon, or contractor needs done.

Common questions

Do you work with businesses in South Jersey?

Yes. My home base is West Chester, PA — about an hour from Cherry Hill, straight through Philadelphia and over the bridge — and South Jersey is part of my regular tri-state service area. Most work happens online, with in-person meetings when they help.

Will my site rank for Cherry Hill and South Jersey searches?

That is the goal. Every build includes on-page SEO and fast, clean code that Google rewards, plus Google Business Profile setup so you appear for local "near me" searches across South Jersey.

Which South Jersey towns do you cover besides Cherry Hill?

Camden County first — Haddonfield, Collingswood, Haddon Township, Voorhees, and the towns along Route 70 and Route 38 — and over the Burlington County line into Moorestown, Marlton, and Mount Laurel. If your customers come from more than one town, the site can carry a page for each service area instead of trying to rank one page everywhere.

Should my site target Philadelphia searches too, or just South Jersey?

Usually both, but not in the same way. Cherry Hill sits minutes from the Ben Franklin and Betsy Ross bridges, so plenty of your customers move between both sides of the river — but a South Jersey business rarely wins a generic Philadelphia search outright. The realistic play is owning Cherry Hill and the neighboring towns first, then picking off the Philadelphia-side searches where you genuinely have an edge, like a specialty or a short hop over the bridge.

How much does a small-business website cost?

Every project is scoped and priced to you — the quote depends on the pages and features your business actually needs. You get a fixed quote before any work begins, with no surprises.

Who actually builds the site?

Nicholas Cabel, the founder — the person who designs and writes the code from start to finish.
